The Trip:
This is the fourth installment of five reports that
document some of the carnivorous plant highlights
from a September 2007 trip my wife (Beth) and I took to Australia.
This trip picks up where the previous one left off, that is, just having exhausted ourselves
by photographing Cephalotus in a prickly Acacia swamp.
Having nearly glutted ourselves on carnivorous plants, we drove towards a small town where we would spend the night. But before
looking in on our room, Phill took us to a low hilltop topped with what I think was a microwave relay station. The sun was dropping
towards the horizon, and I doubted we would have time to see much of value, but I was wrong!
